Professor Huisheng Peng: 


Dr. Peng is currently Associate Chair of Department of Macromolecular Science and PI of Laboratory of Advanced Materials. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University in USA in 2006, M.S. degree in Polymer Science from Fudan University in 2003, and B.S. degree in Polymer Materials from Donghua University in 1999. Prof. Peng worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory (2006-2008), US Department of Energy, before joining Fudan University. His work centers on the preparation of aligned carbon nanotube/polymer materials and their applications in energy field. He has published over 60 papers at top journals including 1 at Nature Nanotechnology, 10 at Adv. Mater., 6 at Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 2 at JACS, and 1 at PRL as a corresponding author, and was invited to contribute three review articles by Chem. Soc. Rev. (2010 and 2012) and Acc. Chem. Res. (2012). He has applied for 28 national and international patents with 11 issued. Prof. Peng has received more than thirteen national and international awards including Distinguished Young Scientist Fund from National Natural Science Foundation of China (2012), Shanghai Professor of Special Appointment (2011), Li Foundation Heritage Prize for Excellence in Creativity in USA (2010), Young Scientist Award from Chinese Chemical Society (2010), Shanghai Leading Talent from Shanghai Government (2010), Chinese Chemical Society-John Wiley Youth Chemical Paper Prize (2009), and New Century Talent of Chinese Ministry of Education (2009).
